Review of 76014 Spider-Trike Vs Electro
Its been a long time since i have the mood and time to do a review. I am seriously bored and just nice come back from Metro with my 76014 Spider-Trike Vs Electro hoots. It is a small set therefore no harm opening and build it without worrying about space constraint. At the same time, share with fellow AFOLs here.
This set RRP is priced at $26.90 which comes a little bit surprise to me as normally according to trend, this small licensed set will cost $29.90. After the usual 20%, it will be $21.50.
The contents of the box include 2 packet of bricks, 1 instruction booklet and 1 small sticker.
After completing building the set, you will get 2 minifigs, Spiderman and Electro. Both have front and back printing on the torso.
For Spiderman, it is pretty disappointing as there is no different variant, the Spiderman is the same as the previous wave of Marvel release.
Electro is a first time release by lego. Hence, minifig collectors, this is a set you all won't want to miss. In my opinion, the design of Electro is quite nice and special. The head is make of trans-clear blue and the arms of the torso is also trans-clear blue.
This is how the final built looked like. The disappointment is that there is no printed parts for the Spiderman-Trike except a Spider logo sticker to stick on the front of the trike.
You can tilt the seat of the Spider-Trike up to haul Spiderman up in the air.
Although this set is small, it is still quite fun to play with.
Spiderman is defeated by Electro without his Spider-Trike.
Spiderman decide to mount on his Spider-Trike and attack Electro.
Electro has to run for his life.....
Conclusion
Although the price is a bit lower than expected and after 20% off, I personally feel that at the price tag of $21.50 for this set, it is a bit expensive. Spiderman is a repeated minifig from previous release. The only attraction to get this set is Electro. For Superheroes and minifig collectors, this set is definitely a must have. For fans who can pass on Electro and have already owned a Spiderman from the previous release, you can definitely find a more value for money set.

Nice!
Ya this set I feel is for the electro.
Trike bike is
But for ppl who didn't have the spidey MF before, this would be a good set to start for superheroes MF collection.

Don't understand why Spiderman need Trike bike to travel when he always swing from a building to another. Its like asking Superman to wear armor when he is already bullet proof

Nice review! Personally, getting this is just getting for the sake of Electro. It's a pity that Spidey is the same variant unlike Batman which occasionally come in different outfits. Still, this is a set that can't be missed especially for completionist collectors.
