[Mini Review] 5001121 BR Minifigure

Managed to get hold of this for a first look.

This polybag is produced to celebrate 50 years of the Danish toy shop Fætter BR (which translates to “Cousin BR”). The mascot of BR is a cool looking soldier figure and has resemblance to the toy soldier in US.

The minifigure in the Polybag is the BR mascot.

Front & Back of the Polybag ..... yes, it's MIC.




The polybag contains five parts... other than the stand, all the parts are unique to this polybag. Satisfied with the quality, the blue leg assembly and the red torso doesn't look thin and transparent.


My attempt to recreate the pose on the polybag


Now on it's own. As mentioned earlier all the minifig parts are unique to this minifigure. The leg assembly has similarity to the "DK Minifigures Character Encylopedia Toy Soldier minifigure" leg assembly but is totally different. The leg assembly here has additional printing to represent the black shoe. There is front and side printing, but they missed out on the inside and can be clearly seen in the picture. With normal stand pose it will not be obvious.

Overall a unique minifig.

Cousin BR supposed to be a kid, so guns have to be the BBgun type toys.. :p

Looks great! Reminds me of the BR logo I saw on my Denmark trip last year.

from your photos, the white print on red looks good without the "red bleed thru white" pink look we get on those cmfs like pirate n santa n lil red hood n judge. looks to be at least 2 coats of paint.
