[Completed] 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle
Dedicate to the DARK SIDE again!
The reason I bought this set is because this is the scene of "I? I couldn't have. She's alive! I felt it! NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Classic enough for me!
Nothing much to do last week. Thus, opened this box!
Also, this is my poorman's alternative for an imperial shuttle!
Bear with my poor photography skill!
4 MFs
Emperor Palpatine
Injured Darth Vader (with his left arm exposed)
Medical Droid
Clone Trooper
Whole shuttle with wings completely extended.
Initially, I thought the design is same as imperial shuttle.
But if you look closely, it is not the same.
Wings completed folded!
This is the rear of the shuttle.
The 2 "blue +" and the grey parts are bricks that hinged the top of the shuttle to its body.
This can be pulled to lift up the top.
There are 2 foldable landing feet for this shuttle.
You can compare the folded and extended modes.
All right! Time to lift off the top and take a look inside.
First bad impression, the MF cannot stand inside the shuttle. The ceiling is too low. Thus, they were all sleeping on the floor when I closed it. LOL. And putting them to their positions now.
Clonetrooper is supposed to be in the cockpit.
Medical droid working on the broken body of Anakin Skywalker on an operation bed! Palpatine standing at the side and enjoying the process of reviving his apprentice!
Medical droid done with its work! Time to install the helmet!
If you noticed the 2 grey levers outside the shuttle, they allow you to push the helmet into Anakin Skywalker.
The helmet is being held in place by two RUBBER bricks. The texture is similar to what we have on earpiece.
I guess its not to scratch the helmet when pushing the levers.
Darth Vader stands up!
The operation bed has 2 bricks to secure the MF when its lying down. It also has a hinge mechanism that allows you to do a "Darth Vader stands up!". I find that to be pretty sweet.
There's 2 slots for light sabres to be kept.
"I? I couldn't have. She's alive! I felt it! NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Medical droid torn into 2!
Ok, to the less interesting stuff!
This is how the top cover looks like.
This picture shows the gun at the rear of the shuttle.
The mechanism is in such a way that it can move 360 degree and can point anywhere away from the shuttle.
Finally, the pilot's turn!
The cockpit is pretty spacious but the details are simple.
Second and last negative point!
I don't know why the wings have this gap?
Any clue?
That's all!

in all honesty, I dun quite like the ship.
they didn't even bother to "Tile: the studded area.
too rough. and for that price too! If RRP is lower than 100 then I say is worth it.
