Review: 9497 Republic Striker-class Starfighter
Hi all, this is one of my purchases from hong kong last year. Today I decided to open and do a review. Lets start off with why i bought this set.
I saw in lego.com this plane can actually change modes like the X-Wing, So i decided to lay my hands on it. After building it, I did not regret buying it.
Love the plane overall but my words wont be strong without the pictures. Take a look at the pieces and how the wings of the plane work.
Here goes nothing...

------------------
Conclusions
Value: 9/10 - If you get this set form hong kong or during discount time.
Design: 10/10 - I love the way the wings are locked into place when you switch it.
Minifigs: 7/10 - Well I love the jedi with the dual saber but the other trooper not really and the droid is made up of pieces, would prefer the one piece solid ones.
Playability: 9/10 - yes it is, come on!! who can ask for more when u get a fighter jet that can transform into a A-Wing type jet.....
Parts: 5/10 - not many interesting ways of making this place as compared to the rest i made from star wars. I think the most interesting is the design of the wings.
Overall: 8/10 - Worth buying if you are like me collecting the planes in star wars. Else it is worth to start with this plane to your collection. You get two planes in one...what more can you ask ?

Nice time lapse. I think another nice thing about this set is that it doesn't require any stickers.

I'm attracted by the fighter plane. Can't recall any movie scene featuring this model, but it looks cool~
